7. Membership Summary
A crucial contribution is the income generated from your memberships, which we have consciously suppressed over the last few years post covid but will be increased for next season to offset some of the impacts of these costs.
Your Membership as an adult player, parent and child, or dedicated supporter is a fundamental requirement to play rugby or enjoy the outstanding facilities we have invested in at Hooks Lane. The benefits of being a member of Havant RFC are wide ranging. It is an opportunity to support our Vision ‘to promote the sport of Rugby and create a supportive, sustainable environment where positive and competitive rugby can be played and enjoyed by all ages regardless of gender, culture, politics or religion’. It is an investment in your (or your childs) rugby journey, from the M&Js through Academy and onto playing senior rugby to the best of your ability and an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie as a part of the ‘#Havant Faithful’ and make friends for life.
As a player you benefit from up to 40 weeks of regular matches and training sessions with qualified coaches, rugby kit, medical supplies provided along with personal and rugby skills development and individual strength/conditioning advice. Your membership also covers the hire and maintenance of our pitches, the provision of food, changing and clubhouse facilities. Our Academy benefits from increased training opportunities, use of the AGP and supporters stand, substantial post match meals, access to physio support and treatment, and use of the gymnasium (under supervision until 18 years of age). Our senior squads also benefit from Havant kit and stash packages.
All our members, whether players or supporters, benefit from discounts at the club bar and club kitchen, as well as discounted hire of the clubhouse, and access to international match day tickets. In addition, membership offers an opportunity to join us for pre-match day lunches, as well as to receive free entry to our men’s 1st XV matches next season (an entry fee of £5 will be charged to non-members).
