Havant Mariners look to start the retention of the John Sneezum cup with a tricky away quarter final at local rivals Gosport.

The last time the 2 sides met was in the final the year before last, with Havant edging it 22-17. The Havant side also won the trophy last year and look to make it a 3 in a row this year, something that has never been achieved in this competition before, in as many season. Lifting the cup again this year would also make Havant the outright leaders in winning this competition with 5 wins, with Portsmouth having won it 4 times. Gosport have never won this competition but have lost in the final 3 times so this will be a tough affair, as it always is between these 2 sides at every level. The added incentive will by a home semi-final for the winners.
