The first fixture between the two sides for fifteen years as another bumper crowd at the Lane witnessed another classic game of rugby.
Will Knight made a couple of changes in the front row with Tam Lindsay moving to loosehead and Jez Smith coming in at tighhead, Luke Shpylka making his debut from the bench.
Old Albanian got off the mark very quickly as Havant slipped off tackles, try scorer was Alex Omole converted by Sam Jones.
Havant were level on 22 minutes after some excellent work from the pack got Havant into the 22, Joel Knight scoring under the posts, which he converted himself.
Havant went further in front when Tam Lindsay was on the end of a rolling maul, the conversion was missed.
The end to end game continued but Havant always had the edge after the opening minutes,
However, Old Albanian drew closer with a penalty in front of the posts after another infringement in a ruck.
With time in the red at the end of the first half, Havant had the last word, when Dylan Lawley found space and scored from close range, Joel Knight converting.

Early 2nd half pressure saw Havant extended the lead with a penalty from Joel Knight after good work from the pack.
Havant were starting to dominate, more pressure from Havant and another try Dylan Lawley scoring almost a carbon copy of his first one. The conversion by Joel Knight put them in a commanding lead at 29-10.
But with all games at this level if you switch off you get punished.
Old Albanian scored three tries in a 10 minute period.
The first was an old school try by Alex Noot converted by Sam Jones followed by worldly try from the fullback Alex Noot this time the conversion was missed.
The final try for Old Albanian was another backs effort scored by Declan Murphy converted Sam Jones.
With time ticking down and the game tied at 29-29 an excellent move from Havant’s backline saw Jack Philips score in the corner, with the conversion missed, Havant led 34-29
The final score of the game was another penalty from Havant, Joel Knight making score 37-29 at the full-time whistle.

"Delighted with what was a very good win and a good performance. We played well in the first half and built a good lead but OAs are a dangerous side and came back hard. This week though we did what we have talked about and made the right decisions to close out the game. This feels like an important win in the context of our season."
