Last week the U15 and U18 girls hosted Trojans RFC girls for a training game before the first full cup fixtures this Sunday. The session provided the opportunity to work on some key skills particularly relating to set piece and the contact area as well as opening up their eyes to the true game environment. Both age groups were buzzing when they came off the pitch, appreciating first hand what it's like to play a game rather than just train together. The preparation has been critical ahead of the games this Sunday 25th September against Ellingham and Ringwood who have had an established girls set up for a number of seasons now. The journey which the Havant Girls have been on over the last 12 months is remarkable, they're learned in one year the same number of things that boys have up to 10-12 years in which to take on board! The coaching and management team are very proud of the girls whatever the result on Sunday and know that the players will put everything into it and enjoy the game.
